Aston Villa defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Villa Park on Saturday. Nicolas Jackson scored both goals for the hosts in the sixth and sixtieth minutes. Erling Haaland equalized for Manchester City in the fifty-second minute.
The visitors dominated possession with 63.8% of the ball compared to 36.2% for Aston Villa. They had fifteen shots at goal, with seven on target, while the hosts only managed two shots testing the opposing goalkeeper.
Jackson scored his second and third consecutive braces in the Premier League this season, bringing his total tally to seven goals in eleven matches under Unai Emery. His clinical finishing in front of goal shows that he has become a key player for Aston Villa.
