The Germans, led by Marie Kleemann who opened the scoring in the 27th minute and Lena-Joy Martens who doubled the lead seven minutes later, quickly took the advantage. Clara Choisy scored a third goal just before the break, further complicating the situation for the Moroccan team.
Despite the three-goal deficit at halftime, Nessma Mouradi brought the score back in the second half with two goals, including one from a penalty. However, these efforts were not enough to avoid Morocco's defeat against the Germans, who scored a fourth goal in the 50th minute.
With this victory, Germany confirms its excellent start to the tournament after having already dominated Argentina on the first day. Morocco remains at three points after two matches and maintains a positive goal difference thanks to the large initial success against New Zealand.
Qualification for the round of 16 remains possible before the final day of the group stage, where Morocco will face Argentina. The Lionesses will need to quickly get over this defeat and look for a positive result in the next match.
